Meta is an open-source DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) project. Meta Protocol is managed by people around the world who hold its governance token, META. Through a governance system involving Executive Voting and Governance Polling, META holders can influence the direction of the protocol.
The Meta ($META) Token is the native token powering the Meta Protocol. Its utility comprises all core network functionalities, such as staking, governance, mint, and liquidators rewards.
META is an ERC-20 governance token with a maximum supply of 100,000,000.
META holders manage the Meta Protocol and the financial risks of mUSD to ensure its stability, transparency, and efficiency. META voting weight is proportional to the amount of META a voter stakes in the voting contract. In other words, the more META tokens locked in the contract, the greater the voter’s decision-making power.
